Guy's Burger Joint

You won’t be disappointed if you are shopping for some vacation souvenir or a duty-free luxury watch or purse. During our cruise, our group toured the many shops and learned how the ship has exclusive items not only to Carnival Cruise Line but also unique items only found onboard this ship. It was a very entertaining and informative class from start to finish. Knowing the different ingredients and cooking techniques that made the menu items complete was delightful. The Tabasco Chef class is located on the second floor of the prestigious Blu by Dolphinaris facility.

The vessel was originally designed for sister cruise line Costa Cruises but was transferred to Carnival Cruise Line during construction. The cruise ship is 113,300 gross tons and carries 3,012 passengers. She wasn’t built for the cruise line but was the first ship for the newly formed Ted Arison Carnival Cruise Line at the time. The ship started sailing for Carnival in 1972, and the “Fun Ships” have kept coming ever since! Mardi Gras was over 27,200 gross tons, a huge difference from the new Excel-class vessels.

Bonsai Sushi

The vessel is 183,521 gross tons with a guest capacity of 5,372 at double occupancy, along with 1,735 crew members. Carnival Celebration is based in Miami, Florida, and also takes the name of a previous Carnival cruise ship, Celebration, that was part of the holiday class. In Costa Maya, we chose to stay aboard the ship and enjoy everything it had to offer. Leading up to this port day, we hadn’t booked any excursions, so it was nice to have the ship tour ourselves while many of the ship’s guests were off the ship enjoying this port.

We know you guys like soft serve too, so we're throwing in a Swirls™ location — one of two! At Summer Landing, fun this cool is literally always in season. BBQ, so we're building a Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse | Brewhouse into this zone so it always tastes like summer here with freshly-smoked faves designed by Guy Fieri and original Parched Pig® beers brewed just feet away.

On that menu, you'll find more smoke bubbles, as well as whimsical ingredients like Pop Rocks. Carnival has come a long way since the days when its staterooms were colored like cotton candy. Instead, its newest vessels are done up in neutrals with calming accents of blue and green, depending on the cabin category. But the ship also offers some of the first real suites in the fleet, featuring separate living room and bedroom areas, bathrooms with separate tubs and showers, and walk-in closets.

You’ll also find a swingin’ jazz trio keeping things nice and hot … and it takes only one look at the décor to feel as if you just stepped into an elegant Southern estate. So come on down and let a white-coated bartender know what your pleasure is. Among the menu of Crescent City mainstays, we suggeststarting off with a true connoisseur’s local favorite … the Brandy Crusta. Since your huge Suite on Carnival Celebration® affords you VIP status, you're in the priority line when getting on and off the ship… plus Suites come with exclusive perks! Emeril’s second restaurant at sea does something a little different.

Carnival has brought its Cloud 9 spa, salon and fitness center to Carnival Jubilee. They feature a plethora of pampering treatments that run the gamut from massages and facials to manicures and pedicures, hair styling and classes like yoga and spin. The fitness center, which is free to use, is equipped with LifeFitness machines, exercise balls, dumb bells and other amenities.

The Carnival Glory is the second ship built in the hugely popular Conquest-class. She was constructed by Fincantieri in Italy and cost $500 million. The Carnival ship became the first in the new Sunshine class after completing a major bow-to-stern transformation in November 2013. The vessel has become completely new after previously being named Carnival Destiny, which originally entered service in 1996.

The vessel took over from sister ship Carnival Celebration, which joined the fleet at the end of 2022. Carnival Firenze is also a recent addition to the fleet, but not completely new, as she was transferred from Costa Cruises in 2024. Find out which fun ingredients — staterooms, dining, activities — go into each deck.

All this glitz pairs perfectly with live music, making this the perfect place to relax with an elegant drink before or after dinner. In the world of Carnival Jubilee™ zones are where fun, flavor and relaxation live… and there are six just waiting for you to explore. Carnival Celebration, positioned in Port Miami, Florida, accommodates 5,374 passengers and 1,735 crew, with a tonnage of 183,521, and was launched in 2022. Carnival Cruise Line currently operates three Excel vessels, including Mardi Gras, Carnival Celebration, and, most recently, Carnival Jubilee.

One of my favorite things about Carnival is that the line's ships offer a diversity of casual, included dining venues. New with the Excel class is Shaquille O'Neal's Big Chicken venue serving variations on the fried-chicken-and-biscuit theme from breakfast through the late afternoon. Carnival's pizza is some of the best in the biz, and the customizable tacos and burritos at BlueIguana offer something for everyone. The new travel-inspired neighborhood The Gateway on decks 6 and 7 midship is most noticeable for its LED "windows" that display scenes from countries around the world, depending on the evening's theme. The new train station-inspired Latitudes Bar and returning Emeril's Bistro 1397 anchor this area, with the popular pharmacy-themed Alchemy Bar above.

"Our Excel-class ships have been a tremendous addition to the Carnival fleet and proven very popular with our guests," said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. When cruise ships are in Texas waters, the onboard bars are only allowed to serve alcohol that was obtained in Texas. That means the types of alcohol available could be limited when Carnival Jubilee (or any other ship) is in port. If you're loyal to a particular brand of vodka, for example, you might have to switch things up and try some Tito's if you're hankering for a tipple before you set sail. Balcony staterooms are proof that while it’s great to be cruisey… on vacation, breeziness is a virtue too.

Most evenings, you could watch live music shows in six other venues throughout the ship. On board, we attended several comedy shows in the Punchliner Comedy Club and the Limelight Lounge. They were also very approachable, shaking hands and taking pictures with guests as we exited the show. I thought this was wonderful and shows how touched guests were by seeing such talented entertainers live. Our cruise visited three ports in the Western Caribbean, Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Mahogany Bay. We were able to visit Guy’s Pig & Anchor and walk right up and be seated.
